of course I am not a jet setter, I thought that some of my friends would be happy to read a Mykonos travel diary for jet setters. Being a jet setter means to live a fast lifestyle, to visit the island for only 24 hours and to see only the hot spots of Mykonos. Many people first take the flight to Santorini where they spend a few days and then take the plane to Mykonos. The reason is very simple. Every flight first goes to Santorini, has there a stopover and then goes to Mykonos. When you return, the flight from Mykonos doesn’t has a stopover at Santorini therefore you spend less time at the plane for your return.
When I look back at my holidays at Mykonos I recommend all jet setters to travel 4 destinations: the infinity view, the beach bar, the shopping trip at Mykonos town and sunset at Little Venice.
Mykonos in only 24 hours
The day starts when you awake in a hotel high above the cliffs or at town with an amazing view over the landscape and the beach.
- 8 am: Enjoying an infinity pool experience
Not only at Santorini it is a must to enjoy an infinity pool experience. Also at Mykonos there are so many possibilities to have an amazing view over the beach from high above. Taking breakfast at the pool bar and swimming in the infinity pool is an incredible experience.
- 12 am: Chilling at a beach bar
There are so many beach bars at Mykonos and every bar has its own charm. My favorite lifestyle bars are Scorpios, Buddha Bar at Santa Marina and Nammos.
- 4 pm: Shopping at Mykonos town
I missed to spend my money for shopping at Mykonos town but there are so many beautiful stores for jewelry, clothes and other stuff. There you find everything, from luxury boutiques to tourist shops.
- 6 pm: Sunset at Little Venice
The must for every Mykonos visit is definitely a cocktail during sunset at Little Venice. It is always a special moment sitting there, staring to the ocean and to the colorful buildings at Little Venice and enjoying the amazing atmosphere.
The day ends when you return at your hotel or take the flight back home late in the evening.
