I don’t think a lot about hot spots and basically I often avoid them because at hot spots you always find crowds of people and I hate that. But sometimes, me too, I want to visit some hot spots and then I plan everything right down to the last detail. When going to Mykonos you have to visit some hot spots and when you go there early enough, you find a perfect place to enjoy everything from the fullest, to take the most beautiful and breathtaking photos and to return to your hotel with a big smile in your face. My husband maybe sometimes thinks that I am a little fanatic, but the truth is that I am a real perfectionist and esthete and therefore everything has to be organized in detail. Going to holidays without making any plans for me is a nightmare. It takes hours, weeks and months for me to plan my holidays. I browse through all social media, internet and guidebooks to check out every place, every hotel, every restaurant and whatever. Yes, maybe my husband is right and I am a little fanatic… But the reward of all the time I spend for it is magnificent. After all holidays I have planed, my husband tells me how excellent the stay was and that it was a great time. For me it is the biggest compliment he can give to me.
It would be more than stupid to go to Mykonos without visiting Little Venice at Mykonos Town for sunset. It’s a must-do! It’s the must-do of all must-do’s; it’s number one on the Mykonos top ten hot spots list! First I informed myself when sunset started while our stay. We went to Mykonos end of September and sunset began around 7pm. Therefore, we decided to drive down from our hotel located in the south of the island to the city around 5pm. It was a Monday and the car drive took 15 minutes. There is a large parking place in the north of the city (never park your car near the wind mills!). From the parking place we walked slowly in direction to Little Venice. This took us about 15 minutes. Arrived at Little Venice Mykonos Town we searched for the perfect restaurant bar to sit down and to take beautiful photos. I tried many seats before choosing the one I was happy with. My choice was Breeze at the front row where waves bashed against the seashore. While watching sunset, drinking cocktails and taking the most beautiful pictures some people passed our sight and every time this happened the crowd of people behind me hailed to the passing ignorants to scare them away. As the sun turned down everyone clap his hands and howled. It was a stunning moment and absolutely unforgettable.
