I hope you all are fine and ready for my next Valentine’s special post. Some time ago, Tina from the blog Beautiful Way Of Life asked me to write a post about the relationship to my husband, some kind of a husband post. I think, now it’s the perfect moment to show and to tell you some more very private secrets about my life. I will start how my husband and me know each other, when and where we met for the first time, what are our similar and opposing characteristics. By the way, on the picture you see us signing our wedding certificate on the beach of Maui. Maybe you remember my posts about our wedding. With the post The Idea I told you why we married in the United States on Maui. With the post The Arrangement I told you about our first days on the island and with the post The Ceremony I told you all about our wedding day at the beach. But now let’s start with new secrets about my life.
Seven years ago my husband wrote me a message through facebook, because he found me on a common friends profile. I took a look at his facebook profile and I immediately fell in love with one picture I could see. My husband was lying on a couch and sleeping like cute little dog sleeps in its basket. Every time I looked at this picture of him I had to smile. We wrote several times through facebook and then we met each other the very first time at Freiburg city in Germany where we both studied. After our first date my husband told me that he wants to move to my apartment. Therefore, we lived together from the second day on we knew each other. It’s a crazy story, but it’s true.
My husband and me we have a lot of things in common but also a lot of things in contrary. The most important thing we have in common is how we want to live our life. We both have a lot of crazy ideas and we love to accomplish them. Because of that, our relationship is never boring. Another very important thing in common is our relish to the Untied States of America. My husband is half American and we really enjoy to spend our holidays there. We both are very open minded and we cherish to travel and to experience new places. We love to eat good food and to try new foodstuff. Good quality is very important for us. While my husband is very talented in technical stuff, I have a lot of fantasy and a talent for art, how to decorate the apartment, how to dress someone and how to design something. Thus we complement each other perfect. While I love to eat fruits and vegetables, my husband dislikes it. He could eat every day a delicious steak. I like salty food like chips and my husband likes sweet food like ice cream. My husband furthermore likes to drink a glass of whiskey, but for me this drink tastes disgusting. I am more the cocktail and the champagne girl. My husband and me we are like Mars and Venus, we have some varieties, nevertheless we are one unity because of our love and our common purposes.
